Aspiration International was formed in 1993, offering beautiful and intricate fair trade objects handcrafted by master artisans.They are an export based business in New Delhi who place an importance on fair trade, quality products and utilisation of traditional handicraft skills.

Business support and mentoring encourages artisans to open their own workshops, and employ young workers - passing their skills along to the next generation and preserving their cultural heritage.

Many of their products are made from sheesham wood - one of the most durable and sustainable woods on earth. These trees (which are native to India) thrive in poor soil, severe drought, high rains and extreme temperatures. It is the second toughest wood in the world, making it ideal for heirloom pieces.
