Customer Care

Most of our artisans create their products on a made to order basis. While we can reorder some items, when dealing with collectives in developing countries, the timeframe on receiving the new stock is sometimes unreliable and never guaranteed.

If you see something you want for a special occasion we recommend you snap it up as the nature of handcrafted stock means we do not have a lot of each piece.

Feel free to enquire about anything that is currently sold out and we'll see what we can do.

We accept most major credit cards & can also arrange internet banking for online orders - please contact us if you'd prefer to do a bank transfer.

We offer Genoapay as a buy now, pay later payment method. It's very easy to do - simply choose Genoapay at the checkout and follow the prompts to set up an account and make your first payment.

Pick up in Silverdale, Auckland is free - just select the 'Collect' option in the checkout. Once you have placed your order, email to arrange a time.

Our toys are safe for your little ones! All of our wooden products are finished with non toxic, lead free paints and AZO-free dyes and conform to NZ safety standards and regulations (AS/NZS ISO 8124.3:2003).

Gospel House Handicrafts, the suppliers of our wooden toys and puzzles, are Sri Lanka's leading Fair Trade manufacturer of crafted wooden toys. They have over 40 years experience this field and are known for the quality of the wooden toys they produce, which all meet international (US/EU/AUS/NZ) standards.

A few of our pieces are traditional instruments - as these were not manufactured as toys they have not gone through the safety testing requirements. Though solidly made and fun for little ones to play with, we recommend supervision for children under 3 years.

As with any toys, we recommend checking over them thoroughly at regular intervals for signs of damage.

In caring about who makes our toys we also care about how we get them to you - we try to use recyclable and compostable packaging where we can. If you receive bubble wrap in your order this been recycled from something shipped to us. Although it's not the prettiest, we may also reuse clean recycled packaging foraged from friends and family. This is an area we are still refining so please bear with us as we continue to improve our packaging options.

Some of our wooden products come plastic wrapped - this is direct from the supplier. They have been shipping their goods in this manner for many years and have determined it to be the most effective way to send their products around the world so they arrive safely.

We are committed to providing ethically sourced products at an affordable price. Though it is almost expected in retail sometimes, you won't find us on sale very often - we have ensured our prices are the best that we can offer. That said, we do love a good giveaway so follow us on our social channels to be in to win!
