Rattan Ganzá Shakers
Let your minis make some noise!
The traditional ganzá is a cylindrical shaped Brazilian percussion instrument filled with beads, metal balls, pebbles or other similar items. They usually play a rhythm underneath the rest of the band.
It is typically played upright, using a sharp up-and-down motion so the pebbles strike the hard base.
Hand-woven from natural, non-endangered rattan and capped on both sides with coconut shells. The fill creates a dry, cutting sound when struck against the rattan and a more projected tone against the coconut shells.
Approximate dimensions: Small 10cm x 5.5cm, Large 20cm x 5.5cm
