Woven Book and Toy Storage Basket

This book basket is hand woven from hogla rope and leaf with inset handles  and a metal frame inside for a refined structure. With a high back and lower front it holds a lot of books/magazines and toys yet is easy for little ones reach into.

In a beautiful earthy tone it is perfect to create little cosy reading spaces in both the home and educational settings.

Hogla is a thick leafed, grass like plant which grows in the rivers and marshlands of Bangladesh. Artisans take this natural and abundant resource to weave a rope which is then used to create strong and durable baskets.
