Lucet Knitting Fork

This hand crafted wooden Lucet or Knitting Fork is one for the creatively minded!

The Lucet was found in European Archaeological records in medieval times when the Vikings used them to make cord and rope for ships. This ancient craft is not only fun but will see children benefit in early numeracy, pre-writing, social and emotional intelligence, science investigation, sustainable principles and connecting with culture and history.

The Lucet can be used with different types of yarn, string and threads to give different appearances, effects and patterning, beads can also be added. See this online tutorial for more details on use.

A versatile piece to encourage creativity and artistic expression. If you're after other craft ideas, try our Etoile Wooden Braiding Star or Weaving Loom.

This is for one wooden knitting fork - yarn is not included.
