Small Foraging Bolga Basket - Patterned Designs
These sweet round bolga baskets are perfect for any kind of adventure!
Beautiful and durable, they are hand-woven from the elephant grass which grows in the rich flood plains of the White Volta near the village of Bolgatanga in Northern Ghana. A lightweight, sustainable vessel for little hands to take exploring or store and carry their treasures.
They’re equipped with ethical leather handles and are perfect for shopping, in the garden, around the home or just sitting pretty. Please note: we receive and ship our baskets flat packed, but they can easily be reshaped as many times as needed - view our care guide for more details. If you are local (Auckland based) and would like us to shape the basket for you please leave a message at checkout (note this will add up to 48 hours to your dispatch/collection time).
Our coloured baskets are all completely unique - there is just one of each colour-way available. We try to photograph these accurately but there may be slight variances in colour due to screen differences that we can't control. Note we have quickly shaped them dry for the purposes of photographing the colour/style (no filters added) - all can achieve a symmetrical finish by following our easy care guide. Also available in natural and vegan styles.
Approximate diameter: 18cm – 22cm (as these baskets are handmade, diameter will vary but be within these specifications) x 13cm+ height (excluding handle).
Some of our recent shipment are a larger than standard - they are noted with an L in the dropdown and are priced accordingly - note these are all still children sizes. Larger sizes have a roughly 26-28cm diameter and are 15-18cm in height.
